Stronger, Part 5

Stronger, Part 5

You have been given everything you need to not only survive, but to thrive.

Ephesians 1:18-20, I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called–his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incomparable greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.

Hebrews 11:33-34, “…who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength…”

My grace is all you need.  My power works best in weakness. 2 corinthians 12:9

When God does not seem to be doing anything around you, I guarantee He is doing something in you

26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. 27 Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. 28 God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. 29 As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.

Weakness is not a liability, it is a pathway for God’s power in your life

“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

2 Corinthians 12:9

John 1:14. So the Word became human and made his home among us.

“I am glad to boast about my weakness…”

(1.) Weakness is never a liability for the Christian.

(2.) Weakness is ultimately an asset for the Christian.

James 1:2-3,  Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever. So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.  (2Cor 4:17-18).

“Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 corinthians 12:9-10
